Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Board of Education of the Santa
Barbara Unified School District at the Administration Office, 720 Santa Barbara Street, Santa
Barbara, California 93101 not later than:
*2:00 p.m. on March 20, 2018 for Santa Barbara High School Grandstand Replacement &
Stadium Renovation New Landscape and Irrigation / 01-1819 (“Project”) *
A mandatory job walk and pre-bid conference will be conducted on Wednesday, 2/21/2018
beginning at 10:30 a.m. Meet at the Flagpole in front of the Administration/Classroom
Plans and specifications are on file and available to view, download or purchase through Cybercopy
The deadline for pre-bid questions or clarification requests is no later than 12:00 PM, March 12,
2018. All questions are to be in writing and directed to the Construction Manager, Lundgren
Management, using the Pre-Bid RFI form.
PROJECT NAME. Bids so received shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the Santa Barbara
Unified School District Administration Office, 720 Santa Barbara Street, Santa Barbara, California
93101. All bids shall be made on the forms provided in the specifications and each bid must
conform to the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by the bid security specified in
the Instructions to Bidders.
The Project description is as follows: New landscape and irrigation for the Peabody Stadium
complex at Santa Barbara High School.
Contractor’ License required: C27-Landscaping or A-General Engineering or B-General Building
Prequalification of Bidders and E/M/P subcontractors: As a condition of bidding on this Project, and
in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 20111.5 and 20111.6, all prime
bidders and electrical, mechanical and plumbing subcontractors listed in the Bidder’s proposal
must either be pre-qualified for at least five business days before the date of the opening of the bids
or must submit a completed prequalification package by the deadline stated below. Bids not
conforming to this requirement will not be accepted.
Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6(j) a list of prequalified general contractors and
electrical, mechanical, and plumbing subcontractors will be made available by the District no later
than 5 business days before bid opening at
